Hi! My name is Ky and I'm a UX/UI designer and Front-End developer from Oklahoma, USA. That embraces challenges, the ability to empathize, and a keen sense of detail that I incorporate into all my designs.
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S in Microbiology and worked in the science and research field for 10+ years, before going into UX/UI and web design/development.
Before discovering UX/UI design, I self-taught using WordPress to develop and design an e-commerce website. While designing the e-commerce website, I did not know it at the time but conducted some usability studies in the form of surveys and feedback. I used QR codes on our product samples that directed users to my feedback survey to fill out. The feedback survey I received really helped improve the website by giving me a different perceptive and showing how important it was to do before launching the website. It also really helped improve our physical products as we tried to fine-tune them with every feedback that we received.
Then my interest in understanding how a website is designed and made with code germinated. It was only then I realized that everything we see on our devices is written in lines of code. I then began to take some online courses to learn how to code. So far I have learned a lot about front-end coding/development and made some projects, but my curiosity might not end there...
